A slow fashion philosophy

Using only limited fabrics and deadstocks, ensuring that each piece is truly one-of-a-kind. The majority of our creations are crafted by the designer herself, alongside a team of skilled artisans in Indonesia. Our aim is to create timeless pieces that are both beautiful and environmentally conscious.

Our story

After graduating from ESMOD Paris, working with several established brands, and earning a master's degree in Contemporary Fashion, Karina Zen chose to take her fashion journey into her own hands. Thus, House of Kaéna was born—a brand that merges childhood nostalgia with light, pastel tones and distinctive silhouettes.

The name Kaéna is derived by blending the vowels of the founder’s first and last names, creating a harmonious, three-syllable word that honors her heritage.

For Karina Zen, "home" has never been confined to one place. Born in Indonesia and raised in the Middle East, she eventually settled in Europe. House of Kaéna is a melting pot that honours nomads and weaves Indonesia and France in a seamless collection REVERIE INSPIRED.
